ANNE FINLEY: Bio

ANNE FINLEY - Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Sax

Ontario based Country Recording Artist Anne Finley has been performing since she was 6 years old. She has performed at various venues throughout southern Ontario since the early 90's, performing with great musicians from The Rob Brewer Band, the house band at Ruanne's in Barrie ON to working with some of Canada's top country musicians like Don McDougall, Paul Chapman, Wendell Ferguson as well as sharing the stage with Aaron Pritchett and The Roadhammers.
In 1997 Anne embarked on a career that would definitely influence her songwriting as well as her life. She says that being a lady truck driver gives her the opportunity to see different places other women don*t and meet people of all different walks of life. Anne says, *Rollin' through a small town, stopping for lunch and chatting with people from different parts of the US and Ontario is a true inspiration for my music. Small towns are the best. People are open, they chat and they love to see a lady driver*..for some people it*s still mesmerizing. Even in 2007!
What makes Anne a little (lot!) different from most Female Artists is that she's a bona-fied Trucker! What makes her different from other drivers is that she*s a bona-fied Country Artist. Anne is where Country music and Trucking meet. Anne has been a driving for Tandet Dedicated for the past 9 years and hauls freight with her T800 Kenworth down through the U.S on a daily basis, with her guitar in tow.
Her first two single releases, entitled *Playin* 2nd Fiddle* and "Missing Piece" received positive airplay from stations across Canada. As a matter of fact her first single "Playin' 2nd Fiddle" is still receiving airplay in Australia. Anne has been featured on the Canadian Trucking News Radio Show and XM 171 satelite radio. These shows have profiled Anne*s driving career as well as her music career thus far. Anne has one of the best female voices on the Music scene * Canada*s Best Kept Secret!

Anne is backed by a great group of musicians called Double Clutchn'. Each band member having a minimum of 20 plus years of touring and performing under their belts. Anne also has guest performers join her from time to time so ya never know who'll be showing up! One thing is for certain, Anne's soaring vocals, crazy sense of humour and the band's onstage antics always get the crowd hoppin'!

Discography
*2001 to 2003 Anne participated in the KX96 Million Penny Toy Drive Christmas project lending her talents to a copilation CD. This project was overseen by Steve Kassay of KX96 in conjunction with Jim Hopson of Wellcraft Music. These Christmas copilations were featured on KX96 and featured live performances to promote the project. The project raised awareness and raised funds for the Salvation Army Simcoe Hall Settlement House.

*In May 2003 Anne released her Debut single "Playin' 2nd Fiddle" to Country Radio. It received positive airplay across the nation and is still being played in Australia!
